who are we?
we are a pentecostal church aligned with the Assemblies of God, New Zealand
these are our values
Simplicity and Devotion to Christ
- To honour and love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind and strength.
- We value intimacy with God, that we may know Him both collectively and individually.
The Authority of the Bible
- We value the Bible as the Word of God.
- We value its proclamation and our obedience to its commands.
Spirit-led Worship
- We value both individual and corporate worship.
- We value being together in both large and small meetings to worship our God together.
Spirit-led Prayer and Intercession
- We are committed to persistent prayer and intercession.
- We believe the Lord calls us to bring forth His vision, His power and His way through prayer, in order that we can go forth in His authority to see His kingdom advance in our world.
A Prophetic People
- We desire to be on the cutting edge of what God is doing and saying by His Spirit.
- We value being visionary and accurate in timing.
- We are prepared to be radical and a catalyst for change as God leads by His Spirit.
Family Life
- We value the sanctity of marriage; we value fathers, mothers and children of all ages and their equal position in the family of God.
- We value TIME with our loved ones and desire to see family life strengthened.
Youthfulness
- We desire to grow UP but not OLD in our faith.
- We desire to embrace youthful zeal and see it yoked with age and experience.
- We value being relevant to the children and youth in our community.
- We value allowing the prophetic voice of God to sound through us a call to the next generation.
Unity and Co-operation
- We are committed to praying for and working with other churches in this town and nation for the advancement of God’s Kingdom.
Radical Discipleship
- We value uncompromising commitment to the Lordship of Christ.
- We embrace wholeheartedly the work of the cross. We are not our own; we have been bought with a price.
- We value discipleship, which calls forth the gifting within each person, and will release him or her into ministries inside and outside the church.
